How to Use Termly Policy Generator, Integrate to WordPress

In this guide, we will cover how to use the Termly Policy Generator online service to create policies for our WordPress site and how to integrate them into pages. Ensuring that your website or app is legally compliant in the fast-paced digital business world can be challenging. Termly is a comprehensive service that simplifies complying with online legal regulations.

What Is the Termly Policy Generator?

The Termly Policy Generator is a service tailored to help businesses easily navigate the complicated realm of online legal requirements. It offers tools and resources that aid in compliance with laws like the GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA.

The Features You Need

Generate Custom Privacy Policies: The Termly Policy Generator includes a Privacy Policy generator. With this, you can create customized privacy policies that detail your data collection practices, cookie usage, third-party sharing, and more.

Create Terms and Conditions: Use Termly’s terms and conditions generator to outline the rules and legal disclaimers governing your website or app use. This ensures a clear understanding between your business and its users.

Manage Cookie Consent: The Termly Policy Generator’s cookie consent manager lets you easily create and customize cookie banners. This ensures your website complies with cookie laws such as the ePrivacy Directive. In addition, they have a cookie consent storage option that you must have if you implement a consent banner.

Craft Other Legal Documents: Beyond privacy policies and terms and conditions, the Termly Policy Generator provides tools for creating disclaimers, return policies, and other legal documents customized to your business’s needs.

Peace of Mind: Using the Termly Policy Generator, you can have confidence that your online policies and practices comply with the latest legal standards. This reduces the risk of fines or lawsuits.

Suitable for All Businesses: The Termly Policy Generator adapts to businesses of all sizes and types, from small startups to large corporations. Its services can be tailored to suit your unique needs.

Our Personal Experience

We chose Termly over several other policy generation services (including iubenda) because, for $15 (at the time of writing) per site per month, you get unlimited policies (you can create a Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and more for the same price, you can make all the available policies on the platform if you like), unlike other providers that you need to pay extra for each policy. You get unlimited edits, and you get automatic updates in your policy. Termly manages the policies you already published. And above all, you get emails with updates about new laws.

A Word of Caution

We don’t provide any legal advice. You should contact Termly directly if you have legal questions about creating your policies.

How to Register Termly Account

Sometimes, there are coupons available on top of the page. If so, click the coupon. If not, click the [Choose Plan] on PRO+.

On the sign-up page, provide the details you want to sign up with.
If you’re unsure about the plan, you can go back and choose the Annual or Monthly plan. You can have a word of guidance in the Choosing Between Annual and Monthly Plan article.

How to Use Termly Policy Generator to Create Policies

Click on [+ NEW WEBSITE / MOBILE APP] at the top.
In the new window, fill in the Site name and URL, and click [SAVE].

You will navigate to fill in the [Business Information].
If not, click on [Settings] on the left menu bar, then [Business Information].
Here, you must provide your Business or Company Name and the Email we created for “privacy” emails in the Zoho Email Service with Custom Domain article.

Check the “[V] I understand” checkbox.
Click [SAVE].

On the left menu bar, click on the [Dashboard] tab.

If you have cookies on your website (if you followed our Complete SEO Guide from the beginning, then you shouldn’t be) or you’re unsure of it, you can scan the site for cookie usage in the “Consent Management” section by clicking on [SCAN NOW]. Of course, if you add plugins that aren’t in this guide, you should scan the site for cookies.

You must add a cookie consent banner if cookies are found on your site. This will appear in the “Consent Management” section after the scan. Yet again, if there are no cookies and you followed our SEO Guide (at the time of writing), there shouldn’t be any.

After the scan, a “Cookie Policy” will be created automatically.

You can create any policy you need in the “Policies” section.

Remember, while creating policies, if you don’t understand a specific question, a question mark can explain it to you in a “human” language. If this is not enough, you can always contact the Termly support team for explanations and help.

Each policy you create, you can add to your WordPress Blog by adding a JavaScript snippet.
